Each person (or an adult supervising their child) participates at their own risk and must sign a liability waiver before participating in the event. BYRA have comprehensive safety procedures that need to be strictly adhered to, including a requirement for each participant to wear a life jacket. It is also strongly recommended to wear reef shoes or similar. A safety briefing will be conducted on-shore at the beginning of each session.
