Welcome to Bayview Yacht Racing Association! Or BYRA for short. We are a sailing and aquatic club located at beautiful Bayview on the southern shores of Pittwater Sydney. Run entirely by volunteers, we aim to be the most fun, inclusive, anddynamic club on Pittwater, and we pride ourselves on our friendly club vibe and supportive culture. BYRA is more than sport. BYRA is community. We organise a range of activities that include:

If you'd like to just swing by BYRA for a face-to-face chat, there are normally regulars around the club on a Sunday from 12. Feel free to chat with anyone rigging in Riddle Reserve. One common misperception we often hear is that 'sailing is expensive!' It does not have to be - plenty of our members sail cheap old dinghies. We also have social, water sports and affiliate memberships available, all subsidised by locals who volunteer their time to keep this community club afloat.

Sad passing of former Commodore Alan Nimmo
Sad passing of a former Commodore Alan Nimmo.
Alan Nimmo was a former member, committee member and commodore of BYRA. Alan is the son-in-law of Richard Overy, who is understood to be a founding member of the club.
Alan sadly passed away over the Christmas period. BYRA extends our condolences to the family.

Lion Island Race, Christmas Party and Prizegiving
Sunday 14th December is BYRA's last organized dinghy race day for the season.
It is also our 76th annual Lion Island yacht race day from 12pm start.
After the racing, we will hold a BBQ at the club, drinks on the deck and a prizegiving from 5pm. All club members and supporters are welcome!!
