Christmas Party and Prizegiving
Sunday 14th December is BYRA's last organized dinghy race day for the season.
It is also our 76th annual Lion Island yacht race day from 12pm start.
After the racing, we will hold a BBQ at the club, drinks on the deck and a prizegiving from 5pm. All club members and supporters are welcome!!

Lion Island Race
Roll up for the annual BYRA Lion Island Race, 76th edition! This event commemorates the race that started BYRA - click here to read about the epic between K.C. Dalton Esq. Skipper of the “Owen Davern”, and Cedric Williams Esq., Skipper of the “Christina” that took place in 1949. (Spoiler alert - Dalton won.)

Note - this is an event for auxiliary yachts only (non-spinnaker).
The race will commence at noon from outside the moorings in front of the club.
The course is around Lion Island and back (weather permitting). Looks like a nice Sou-easter this year.

All crews are welcome to BYRA after the race for the retelling of epic race tales, plus an optional BBQ dinner from 5pm (separate charge - you can pay on the day!).
