The terms and conditions of membership are that each member agrees to observe the provisions of BYRA’s constitution, policies, safety procedures, codes of conduct, sailing instructions; and be aware of the risks associated with sailing. Each member agrees to comply with the rules made by BYRA management committee from time to time in accordance with the BYRA’s constitution, including those concerning the use of the BYRA and its facilities and sailing activities organised by BYRA and including any terms and conditions set out on this page.

The membership is valid for 1 calendar year, renewable every year on 1 August. This membership is not transferable or refundable.

Refund of Merchandise – Clothing may be refunded if it is returned undamaged and unused. The refund will be made using the same payment method as the purchase.

INSURANCE:
Your boat and gear are NOT insured whilst at BYRA. The BYRA strongly recommends that you seek insurance for your vessel and equipment with third-party liability insurance when sailing at BYRA. The BYRA strongly recommends that all non-racing sailors are covered by a marine third-party liability insurance policy.

Racing sailors must have valid third-party liability insurance to the value of $10,000,00 for the third party.

CONDITIONS OF BOAT AND EQUIPMENT STORAGE:
Members are reminded that boats and equipment may only be stored at BYRA if the relevant membership and fees are paid and the boat is registered and sailed regularly. Members do not have the right to store boats; storage of a boat at BYRA is conditional. Boats for which shed rent has not been paid or are not used regularly are liable to be removed.
