Welcome to BYRA
BYRA is a vibrant, community-based club, providing membership for both sailing and social members.
If you are considering getting into sailing, why not visit us on a Sunday morning to see the different boats we sail up close – our members are always keen to answer questions and show you the ropes.
You can even arrange to go out on a patrol boat or the committee boat to watch the sailing school or racing up close.
Our membership offers Access to our wonderful club facilities;
- Enjoy a BBQ on our deck with family/friends - the view doesn't get any better than that!
- Use the Aquatic Park when you want to use it
- Use of Club boats for sailing (once you are accredited byBYRA as a sailor)
- Hot showers & lovely change rooms

BYRA Membership Options
We offer a range of membership options to suit all levels of involvement.

| Family (Non-Sailing) | $520 | As above, but for a family / household |
At BYRA the membership year runs from 1 September to 31 August
We also offer a 1/2 season discount for those joining in the second half of the season.
ailPass Introductory Membership
SailPass is an introductory form of membership to allow non-members of a club to participate in sailing events.
SailPass provides participants with cover under the Australian Sailing Personal Accident Insurance policy for the day/s that the SailPass applies.
SailPass: The first three sails with BYRA are free, thereafter each SailPass will cost $20.
Registering for the first time?
The first time you register you will receive an email with your Australian Sailing Number.
Returning as a SailPass holder or full member?
When registering for additional race days, please use your Australian Sailing Number as a Returning member.
Please register each of your Family members individually
Step 1: Register the primary sailor of your family as the Sailing Family Member
Step 2: Register additional Family members as Sailing Member - No Fee

If you have been a member of our club (or any club) across Australia in the past few years, your details (including Australian Sailing Number) should be in our system. If you don't know your Australian Sailing Number, you can look it up here: AS Number Finder
