START SAILING 1 & 2 – COMBINED LEARN TO SAIL PROGRAM

Sundays | 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
8 structured sailing sessions | 24 hours of instruction

TWO COURSES. ONE REGISTRATION. GREAT VALUE.

Ready to learn to sail?

BYRA’s combined Start Sailing 1 & Start Sailing 2 Program gives new sailors the opportunity to complete both stages in one comprehensive Learn to Sail program.

Rather than registering and paying separately for two courses, participants receive Start Sailing 1 and Start Sailing 2 as one combined program for $520 — providing excellent value while allowing participants to continue developing their skills over the sailing season.

No previous sailing experience is required.

YOUR COURSE JOURNEY

START SAILING 1
Sunday 11 October – Sunday 1 November 2026
4 Sundays | 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Learn the fundamentals of sailing and develop the essential skills needed to begin sailing with confidence.

PRACTICE WEEK – SUNDAY 8 NOVEMBER 2026

There is no formal lesson on this Sunday; however, participants are highly encouraged to get out on the water and practise their newly learned skills.

This dedicated practice week gives you an opportunity to consolidate the skills learned during Start Sailing 1, enjoy additional time on the water and build confidence before progressing to the next stage.

START SAILING 2
Sunday 15 November – Sunday 6 December 2026
4 Sundays | 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Now it’s time to build on what you’ve learned.

Start Sailing 2 develops the skills introduced in Start Sailing 1, helping participants improve their boat handling, sailing ability, confidence and independence on the water.

EXCEPTIONAL VALUE – BOTH COURSES INCLUDED

Non-members – $520 per person

Your registration includes the complete Start Sailing 1 & Start Sailing 2 program — eight structured sessions and 24 hours of sailing instruction.
