Sunday 8th February to March 29th 2026
9am - 12pm Sailing Lesson.

This course includes 8 sessions of 3 hours on the water learn to sail training.
We provide boats, instructors, insurance, safety gear, safety boats, AS membership, course logbooks.
Our courses and instructors are Australian Sailing accredited. BYRA is an accredited Australian Sailing Discovery Centre.

Our beginner's learn-to-sail course is designed for adults of all ages. If this is your first time sailing, no problem; this is the course for you!
We understand that each individual has a unique learning style and pace, and our lessons are designed to accommodate that. They're informative and fun and personalized to your goals, whether you're sailing for fun or aiming to race one day.

Course Overview
This course equips participants with boat rigging knowledge and sailing skills to sail a dinghy on their own. 

Course Prerequisites

Water confident, and the skills and knowledge gained in Start Sailing 1.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who have completed Start Sailing 1 and are wanting to learn and continue to develop their fundamental sailing skills.

Course Outcome

You will gain your Start Sailing 2 completion certificate. 

We recognise that some of our course participants are completing the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award and may be using sailing and/or club membership to complete one or more sections of The Award. To learn more, click here.
