Our program is designed for maximum fun while kids discover a love of sailing and being on the water. Games-based program that the kids love! After your class, enjoy BYRA's range of aquatic fun, such as SUPs, kayaks. lilypad and more.

Learn to Sail commences Sunday February 11th for 5 weeks.

How to Register: Select the time that suits your family best - there are limited places so please register ASAP Choose Member or Non-Member depending on your BYRA Membership status The whole family can enjoy the aquatic park before or after your child's sailing lesson

How does it Work?

• Our Learn to Sail instructors will grade and put your child into a group that best suits their experience AND age
• If your child has no experience, they will commence with Sailing Foundations.
• Let us know if you have friends that want to be in a group together
• We usually do not put siblings together
• We assess the kids as they do the course and will let you know their progress and what's next for their sailing journey!

BYRA is an Accredited Australian Sailing Centre. Our beginner Programs include;

JUNIOR JELLYFISH ( Sailing Foundations) DEVELOP A LOVE OF BEING ON THE WATER A games-based program that will develop a love of being on our beautiful water playground - Pittwater! The program will include Learn to Sail and then fun free-play on BYRA's amazing range of "water toys". From water-confident 7-year-olds up to older teens ( we group kids into their appropriate age group) For Beginner Sailors Specially designed to ensure this age group remain engaged, they look forward to coming and at no point are "scared" or daunted by sailing. After the program we will know & recommend the most suitable next sailing program for your child. Learn basic building blocks of sailing A pre-cursor to Start Sailing One , they will learn valuable foundations of sailing and safety on the water and get a cool certificate of accomplishment.

SUPER STINGRAYS (Start Sailing One) DISCOVER A LOVE OF SAILING A fun-filled program that will engage your kids and foster a love of being on the water and learn the basics of sailing. Just like the Jellyfish it features time in the BYRA water Park. AUSTRALIAN SAILING ACCREDITED Kids at this stage benefit from our fun lessons and appropriate time on the water, that is long enough to learn but not too long, so they get overwhelmed or cold etc Stingrays will work at their own pace towards completing Start Sailing One - accredited through Australian Sailing.
